9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (one hour lunch on own)
Best Western Vista Inn, 2645 Airport Way, Boise, ID

Whether preparing an employee to lead small groups, teams, or achieve a future goal of becoming a supervisor, the path to becoming a top-notch leader requires ongoing education. To ensure your future organizational leaders are well prepared to ultimately fill supervisory and managerial positions, companies should invest in pre-supervisory training. In doing so, companies support internal career development of employees who have the potential and desire for a future management role.

Note: This class is not for new or current supervisors or managers, as they should take the two-day (February 4-5) Legal Essentials of Successful Management. This course is for non-supervisory staff who seek to learn more about what makes a successful leader and steps they can take to achieve the goal of moving from a peer to a leader.

Topics covered include

  • Employee versus Supervisor
o Act like a leader to become a leader
o Workplace changes to move from peer to manager
